December is 'Dance' Month

We have a #DanceAdvent you can follow on Twitter where we will be showing you different dance moves or performances each day!

You’ll also have heard of the #HertsDances routine that’s been going around all year! Well now is the perfect opportunity to get your club, group, organisation, friends, family, colleagues or anyone who is willing together to perform the routine!! We’ve also had a song written by young Hertfordshire Songwriters. Film yourself dancing along to our song and share them with us on Facebook and Twitter or email them through! Maybe with some new moves you learn this month!

Hertfordshire’s Year of Physical Activity

From 1st January, 2018 will be designated the ‘Hertfordshire Year of Physical Activity’ and will see a number of organisations from both in and out of the sporting arena working together in support of making Hertfordshire the most active county.

Driven by the Hertfordshire County Council and Herts Sports Partnership, the campaign builds on previous ‘Years of’ which have already taken place for cycling, walking, mental health and volunteering. Approximately one in every five adults in Hertfordshire currently does less than thirty minutes of activity per week, and so it is hoped that the opportunities for participating in large scale events will help to improve this statistic.
