Families came and enjoyed Welwyn Garden Fire station Open Day
Families came and enjoyed the activities, demonstrations and stalls at Welwyn Garden Fire station Open Day Saturday 4th August. Many people visited the WHSPAA stall manned by Project Manager Kumiko to find out what sports and activities were available.
Shoppers enjoyed badminton and 'This Girl Can' challenge organised by WHSPAA, provided by WH Badminton Saturday 23 June
Hatfield Galleria shoppers were invited to have a go at badminton and the women and girls have go at the 1 minute hitting challenge. Those with the highest score at Under 12 and Under 18 were awarded Ashaway badminton rackets.
Welwyn Garden Healthfest, 16 June 2018
The crowds came and enjoyed some 30 healthy-living stalls and several demonstrations in the sunshine.

WHSPAA AGM Elects new Officers
At WHSPAA AGM attendees heard the reports of what WHSPAA has been involved in, elected new officers and discussed what clubs would like WHSPAA to do in the coming year. After the AGM Charlie Mann, HSP Clubs Project officer spoke of opportunities.
WHSPAA at Year 9 Crucial Crew Event, 13 March
250 Year 9 children from the 6 Welwyn Hatfield secondary schools attended lifestyle presentations from local organisations: WHSPAA promoted all 190 sports clubs and local sports organisations.
Free Welwyn Hatfield Sports Clubs Events Publicity
As you know 2018 is the Hertfordshire Year of Physical Activity. As part of this we are compiling a calendar of events throughout the year to inform people about what’s happening throughout the borough. We are, therefore, asking club leaders to let us know about any events that you may be planning which are open to the general public. We will then promote these events through the WHSPAA and Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council website and social media.
7 Primary Schools Enjoyed Badminton Tournaments Managed by Stanborough school
On 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 9th and 10th November primary schools in Stanborough School cluster enjoyed badminton fun tournaments. Each tournament session involved approximately 60children from each school being helped by leaders and coaches with 10 different badminton-related skills and then seeing how many times they could repeat the skill in a given time.

Peartree Fun Day - Was Great Fun!
The sun shone and people of all ages had a great time with lots of stalls and activities. Deputy mayor councillor Barbara Fitzsimon opened the event.
Primary Schools' 'Gold Coast Games' at Gosling Sports Park, 14th July
420 Year 5 children from 18 Welwyn Hatfield primary schools had fun with some 16 sports all day at Gosling Sports Park.
