Badminton Table tennis and Volleyball:

This Girl Can badminton women and girls 1 minute hitting challenge (racket for winner)

fairground rides, bouncy castle, “Reqs” – the fire investigation dog, fire and rescue demonstrations,  a barbeque and fire engines will be on display

Play Day at Stanborough  2016: the national day for play, will be held in Welwyn Garden City. Visitors enjoy Playday 2014   The FREE event is part of a national celebration of children's right to play and celebrates the importance of play in children's lives. It's run by the council and their partners. It is open to people of all ages. Just turn up on the day and enjoy the activities. More information to follow.

The Welwyn Hatfield “This Girl Can” Campaign vision is to get more women and girls participating in sport and physical activity and, once involved, sustain participation.

 

This campaign is all about enabling members of our community to actively promote, engage and join in!

 

Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council wants to work with you all as our community partners to help us grow and develop this campaign.

The Campaign vision is to get more women and girls participating in sport and physical activity and, once involved, sustain participation. 

This link provides a copy of the practical guide to help you get started, along with a Activity form attached. There are many ways in which you could get involved for example putting on women only activities , taster session, open days etc. We look forward to hearing your ideas.

There is no limit to the number of activities you can submit.

You can send your activity form(s) in as and when sessions are arranged, or all together in bulk;  they must all be submitted by 2nd September 2016 at the latest.

Over 19,000 Welwyn Hatfield women and girls want to be more active....so lets help them! Thank you those of you who attended the Women and Girls Summit Meeting in May.
